In response to the recent resurgence of COVID-19, the ACGME sent a letter to both presidential nominees, urging them to commit to accelerating the production of personal protective equipment (PPE) to protect frontline health care workers, who include many members of the GME community.

The ACGME has released a statement opposing the Presidential Executive Order on Combating Race and Sex Stereotyping issued September 22, 2020. The ACGME will continue to enforce and enhance its requirements to promote safe and inclusive clinical and work environments in institutions to ensure delivery of high-quality care to the patients and communities they serve.

The Hill quotes a letter from President and CEO Thomas J. Nasca, MD, MACP to leaders of the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences and the Defense Health Agency on the future of the US military physician education system.
