Andrew Neal Dentino, MD, FACP, AGSF, FAPA, FAAHPM

Dr. Andrew Dentino is an alumnus of the Icahn Mount Sinai School of Medicine. He completed his internship and residency in internal medicine/psychiatry and chief residency in psychiatry at West Virginia University, and his fellowship in geriatric medicine at Duke University Medical Center. He is actively board certified in internal medicine, geriatric medicine, hospice and palliative medicine, psychiatry, and geriatric psychiatry, and is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians, the American Geriatrics Society, the Gerontologic Society of America, the American Psychiatric Association, and the American Academy of Hospice and Palliative Medicine. Dr. Dentino is the Vice Dean for Academic Affairs, the Col. William Card, Jr. and Mr. Frank Boggus Professor and Founding Chair of Internal Medicine, and the program director of the hospice and palliative medicine fellowship at the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley School of Medicine. He is also the Faculty Accreditation Lead to the Liaison Committee on Medical Education from University of Texas Rio Grande School of Medicine. Dr. Dentino has served as a member of the ACGME Review Committee for Internal Medicine from 2014-2020.
